PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 19 September 2026
1. Who this policy applies to, and who’s responsible
This Privacy Policy explains how Trevin Cutinho, operating as Trevinpoetry (micro-entrepreneur,
SIRET 104 350 608 00014, based at 3 Place de la République – François Mitterrand, 92110 Clichy,
France), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit trevinpoetry.com, join the notify
list, or place an order.
For any question about your data, contact: cutinhotrevin@gmail.com
2. What data I collect
Depending on how you interact with the site, I may collect:
Contact and order data: name, email address, shipping address, phone number (if provided at
checkout)
Payment information: processed directly by the site’s payment provider — I do not see or store
your full card details myself
Special Edition briefs: whatever personal information, names, or context you choose to include
when submitting a poem request, used solely to write your commissioned poem
Notify-list signups: your email address and, where asked, your country, so I can tell you when
pre-orders open in your region
Basic technical/analytics data: standard website usage data collected automatically by the
hosting platform (e.g. pages visited, general location, device type), used to understand how the
site is used
3. Why I collect it, and on what legal basis
Order and shipping details — collected to process, print, and deliver your book. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Special Edition brief — collected to write your personalized poem. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Email (notify list) — collected to inform you when pre-orders open in your country. Legal basis: consent.
Analytics and cookies — collected to understand site usage and improve the experience. Legal basis: legitimate interest, or consent depending on the specific cookie type.
4. Who I share your data with
I don’t sell your data, and I don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your data
is shared only with the services required to actually run the site and fulfill your order:
Wix.com — the platform hosting this site and processing payments at checkout
IngramSpark — the print-on-demand and fulfillment service that prints and ships your book;
your name and shipping address are shared with them specifically to deliver your order
Any other service provider strictly necessary to operate the site or fulfill an order (e.g. email
delivery tools), each bound to only use your data for the purpose I’ve engaged them for
5. International data transfers
Because I use international service providers, your data may be processed outside the European Union
— including by Wix (with infrastructure in Israel, Ireland, and the United States) and IngramSpark
(based in the United States). Where this happens, these providers rely on legal safeguards such as
Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent adequacy protections to ensure your data remains protected
to a standard consistent with EU law.
6. How long I keep your data
Order data is kept as long as necessary for fulfillment, accounting, and legal record-keeping
obligations (typically up to 5 years for commercial records under French law)
Special Edition briefs are kept only as long as needed to write and deliver your poem, then
archived or deleted unless you ask me to keep it on file
Notify-list emails are kept until pre-orders in your region open and you’ve been notified, or until
you unsubscribe, whichever comes first
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
Access the personal data I hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal retention requirements
Restrict or object to certain processing
Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from the notify list) without affecting past
processing
To exercise any of these rights, email cutinhotrevin@gmail.com. I’ll respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with CNIL (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des
Libertés), the French data protection authority, at www.cnil.fr, if you believe your data has been
mishandled.
8. Cookies
The site uses cookies necessary for core functionality (like keeping items in your cart and completing
checkout), and may use basic analytics cookies to understand site traffic. You can control or disable
cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect some site functionality, such as
checkout.
9. Data security
I take reasonable steps to protect your data, relying on the security infrastructure provided by Wix and
IngramSpark for payment processing, hosting, and fulfillment. No online system is 100% secure, but I
don’t store sensitive data (like full payment details) myself beyond what’s necessary to run the site.
10. Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site or business evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will
always reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be reflected here; I encourage checking
back periodically.
